Today the whole world celebrates the Blog day, and as part of this celebration if you have a blog, you will post something about 5 new or different blogs than yours.

Heida Biddle - Tales of Seven: The first time than I see Heida’s blog, one of the things than I liked was hers Photo gallery because it shows the places where Hedia was in the past in hers travels, and of course that’s the reason why Heidas today is invited at my Blog, a traveller woman.

And now, as part of my own version of BlogDay I made some questions to my invited bloggers so, this was the questions.

What was the first blog you visited? Do you remember a name/author?
I was first introduced to blogging by Graham Glass who has a blog at grahamglass.blogs.com

Do you have a list of favorite blogs to read frequently? can you share some of them with us?
I do. I read quite a number of blogs but these are examples of some types I really like.

• I love irreverant blogs with a good sense of humor like Maunderings from Dissertation Hell .
• Diary of a Rat provides very thoughtful and well written commentary on current issues.
• Thrilling Wonder is good for fun, light entertainment with its amazing pictures
• Confessions of a Pioneer Woman brings a new world to us in a fun way All of the links to them are in my blog under ‘clever blogs’ if you’d like them

I saw a lot of your pictures on Heidas.com, are you planning your next trip?
My most immediate next trip is closer to home. I’ll be going to Burning Man in Nevada. Internationally, I have hopes to make a trip to Brazil and explore the Amazon next!

What kind of camera you use?

What was the most great place you can visit in the past?
My hardest and yet favorite trip was one to Morocco. It’s a tough place for women to travel alone, but it also has some of the most incredible scenery and amazing, ancient towns. And the Sahara is magic.

if a beginer traveller ask to you where I can start my own trip around the world, what do you answer him / her?
Where you start depends entirely on what kind of travel you like. I tend to like places that are as different as possible from what I see in everyday life. So I seek out places where I get exposure to very different cultures (like Morocco, Nepal, Botswana, Jordan), and try to stay somewhat off the beaten track for a more genuine experience.

I like this pic from your photo gallery, do you like xtreme sports?
I love trying new things and trying out new sports is a part of that. I did rock climbing for about 7 years.

In just one word, from your point of view why do people blog? What is the main reason?
wow - one word is tough! I’ll say to “share”

Ashish’s Programming Journal: This is the kind of technical blogs I liked to read, in fact I meet his blog when I found in somewhere of the net a link to his post Cell Phone Controlled Door Latch, then I start to review all the blog and finally his blog is part of this blog day.

- I remember the first time heard the word “blog”..but I can’t remember the first time I visited one.

- Few of my classmates, (or perhaps only one classmate), actually visits my blog.

- No way. I can’t write about every single thing which happens in my life on a diary. To be honest, I didn’t even want to start a blog..but some people convinced me that its not that bad..and that having a blog doesn’t mean you have to write about every single thing which happens in your life.

Today the whole world celebrates the Blog day, and as part of this celebration if you have a blog, you will post something about 5 new or different blogs than yours, so here’s my first one new blogger.

SexySeo, isn’t a full time blogger I guess she must have other things to do as SEO, but if you read hers blog, you could fine a good work on posts like MyBlogLog, and that’s the reason why I recommend it, good work!.

And now, as part of my own version of BlogDay I made some questions to my invited bloggers so, this day I post that questions too.

What was the first blog you visited? Do you remeber a name/author?
Don’t remember - it was a long-long time ago. Probably it was the first blog ever to appear on the net

Do you have a list of favorite blogs to read frequently?
No, I don’t - I’m always looking for something new

How you can combine you profession as SEO with the Blogger life? Is it easy? Does it not harm?
Struggling but not so much. It would have been harder to combine some other occupations (like brain surgeon or a CIA agent) with blogging

Do you have an unofficial/personal/private blog where you write about your personal life?
Yes, but it’s <i>very private</i> My <strong>elite club</strong> of very-very close friends.

Is it easier or harder to be a blogger than SEO?
To be a blogger is much harder You have to be pretty cool to attract people to read what you acctually write - Search Engines aren’t people they read anything Besides blogging means typing a lot - a hard thing to do with my fingernails.

In just one word, from your point of view why do people blog? What is the main reason?
“Money make the world go round” Joke with a pinch of truth. Some are clearly suffering from loghorrea or attention deficit disorder (orboth). But seriously I think there are as many combinations as there are bloggers on the net.

If a beginner blogger asks you “How do I start my own blog” what do you answer to him /her?
In true SEO style I’ll probably shout “Go and post this question to your blog!!!”

Amores Perros A.K.A. Love’s a Bitch

This is one of the best movies had I ever seen before, if you didn’t see it, I’ll recommend to you go to a Blockbuster and rent it, better if you can do that at Friday’s night, just because this is the kind of movies than needs time to be watched, time to be analyzed and time to understand.

The movie shows three different stories with nothing in common, but just an event joins all of them in the movie, a car crash, and when it happens just at the end of the movie you can understand many things of the movie.

“Three stories of life along the margins in Mexico City converge in this inventive thriller. Octavio is sharing an apartment with his brother, which leads to a serious problem when he falls in love with Susanna, his sister-in-law. Octavio and Susanna want to run away together, but Octavio has no money. He does, however, know a man who stages dog fights, and he volunteers his dog Cofi for the next round of fights. Cofi bravely rises to the occasion, but the dog’s success in the ring leads to a violent altercation. Elsewhere, Daniel, a successful publishing magnate, leaves his family to take up with a beautiful model, Valeria. Valeria, however, soon loses a leg in an auto accident, and as Daniel tends to her needs, her tiny pet dog gets trapped under the floorboards of their apartment. And finally, El Chivo is an elderly homeless man who is trying to contact his daughter, whom he hasn’t seen in years. Desperate for money, El Chivo is hired by a businessman to assassinate his partner; however, as he’s following his target, he’s interrupted by an auto accident, from which Octavio and his injured dog stagger in search of help.”

Last night just before to go to sleep, I remember this song but I can’t remember the name of it, just the chorus comes to my head, once and again, so with it in my head I decide go to sleep, next day when I wake up, that song still in my mind and then I decide goes to search the internet hoping to find something about that song, then the almighty Google brings to me all the info than I need.

The name was the most obvious name than I could think, Don’t you (Forget about me!), the group was Simply Minds, and then I remember where I hear that song for first time, The breakfast club, the movie, so my next step was Wikipedia related topic “The Breakfast Club”:

Do you love Ecuador? read this message

This is the kind of “ads” used by a certain candidates to the next Ecuador’s election, SPAM, but if you thinks, why the problem?, every day you must receive a lot of SPAM.

Of course the answer is YES, every single day I receive lots of SPAM, in all my publics emails accounts, but the problem is a little bigger than the common SPAM because it was received in my corporative email account, in fact I can understand than public and free email services as hotmail or gMail could be attacked by SPAMERS to send their email campaign just because that email account are much easier to find in some forums, blogs or large email chains. But send SPAM to my personal, private and corporative email account, I can’t accept this.

So it’s the situation, and it helps me to take a decision at the vote’s moment, so I want to give thanks to Rocio Rosero Garces to help me to take the right one.

I don’t vote for you or all the candidates in your list.

Thanks Rocio, I love my country, I love Ecuador and I want a free SPAM country.

Bluetrek: bluetooth headphones.

Last night I went to buy some accessories for my brother’s cellphone and I’ve amazed with a Bluetrek, bluetooth headphones.

After a quickly test with my brother’s cellphone, I decide to buy it and my first impressions after a long day of use are:

• Battery’s long duration + 10 hours of use and I don’t need to charge again.
• Good quality sound, in fact is not the best but is really good.
• Easy setup in a PC machine, I tried to configure to use them with my Mac computer but I can’t something failed with the Macally bluetooth adapter, not’s the first time than Macally adapter do this in some of my gadgets.
• +10m of distance before the connection lost, in fact I went to the printer of the office and I didn’t lost the connection and this one is far away of my desk.
• Easy setup with cellphones, I configured it with my wife’s cellphone and of course with mine too.

At this time I’m thinking in buy this new bluetooth gadget to my iPod, for sure it could help me to enjoy my music experience.

During two months of my life (11/05-12/05) I heard this song day and night during every single day, at my office on my iMac or when I was walking in my old MP3 player, and for an strange reason some day I never did it again.

Last night on the past week I made a backup of my iPod’s music and I found that song again in my laptop, in fact this one and some other songs, but since that night “You get what you give” back again to rocks in my iPod, I’m not sure why I liked this song, just if you read the lyrics it doesn’t have any special to said, and if you check the rhythm you didn’t feel any special on it either, so I can’t understand why I like it.

Who’s on first?

I saw for first time this video so many years ago, in fact when I was a child, and of course I saw it in Spanish, as my mother natal language.

Just the last year a good friend of mine gives me the original audio from Abbott and Costello original TV Series in English and after of that I can stop to hear it once and again.So, last night I decide made a search in YouTube about “Who’s on first?” and here’s the result of that search, and if you wants to know a little more about “who’s on first?” you can read it in Wikipedia, or the transcription of the original text from this Abbott & Costello web site.
