Spam or not spam that is the question.

Few days ago a good friend of me, calls to my office and after a few minutes of conversation about their project he asks to me about if is right or not the use of SPAM as an advertising tool, of course he didn’t use the SPAM word to talk about their email, and of course I say NO, you don’t do that, the people like me hates the companies how use the spam in their projects.

After of that he just heard me for a few minutes and then he asks to me something interesting. If I never told to the people about my business, how they do know about me?

Good question, and of course I continue in my position about the NO use of spam, and let to their business continue the grown using the traditional method in internet, let the people comes to your web site and of course you must offer an special plus to your visitants, discounts or let their use your products for free in a trial time, invite some people to talk about your product or service, and other things like that. After of that I say no more and we finish our conversation.

But, at this time I must recognize than he has right in their appreciation, how the person knows about them? of course he can pay some special plan of advertising like Google Adwords, or something like that and in fact I´m sure than Google Adwords is more effective than the SPAM, but all of this kind of things requires an action about the user or consumer, SEARCH. But you just search for something when you need it, before of that, you don’t do that. And then I remember one of the principles learned in my university years, it was “The main function of Advertisers is help to the people to know their needs  even if they don’t know have it”.

I don´t say than the SPAM is the solution, but I’m sure a lot of people ask themselves the same question, how they do know about me? if I don’t say them about my business, and at this time I have no answer for them, just be patience, and let your business grownup.

When the time it’s not enough

Maybe some of you have the same problem than I have.

A lot of things to do and a little time to work on them, and that’s the reason why I decide for a few days disconnect me from the internet to dedicate time to that projects than need all my attention at this time.

The really sad of this situation is when you have a lot of interesting things to work on them but you prefer just one of it. Actually I´m in that circumstance, at my day job I have an special project to develop during the next two weeks, in fact it’s a very big ones, and in the nights I got my other personal projects to work at home, some of them involve particular clients and others are projects with my wife Donna, but between ones and others I like just one of them.

I’m try to help to a good friend of mine does hers new blog template, and when I got the time to work on it, a new task comes to me.

So for all that people how ask to me if I change my MSN address, or if I blocked some of them, let me say No, I don’t do anything of it, I’m just trying to get enough time to work in a very interesting template for a good friend of mine, sooner you know about it, I hope so.

Las night I was browsing the internet searching some info about music videos and some lyrics and suddenly I found this old music video from Dobbie Brothers called You belong to me, I think a lot of people never hear this song before for sure, but if you pay a little attention to the lyrics I’m really sure than you could find in your mind that special person who is the right one to be the starring of an imaginary music video where you´re the singer of it of course.
