Monster for employers.

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Few days ago, a good friend of mine during a chat session he lets me know about a service to hire the right people for his business. In fact few months ago I found the same service but in the other side, when I was searching job in Spain, but I don’t know about the side of Monster to hire people, I’m think now it’s obvious, so Monster close the circle between the company and the employee using a single application.

Anyway, the story of my friend is about a “Cafe Lounge” in Washington D.C., USA where he is the owner and needs some help to attend the place, that’s the reason why he decide to use Monster system “help wanted“. In fact Jeovanny my friend and one of the owners of the “Cafe Lounge” told me than Monster brings to te user a complete and well done application to offer the best opportunities in the market according with the search criteria, in Jeovanny’s case, he was searching was Chef Assistant and he told me After search, I can found almost 50 candidates to that job position.

I’m not sure about if Jeovany’s made contact or not with one of the candidates to the job position, but today I was browsing the web site and found very interesting things like this one “Why Recruit with Monster”, and one of the things than I liked about the Monster’s web site is the capability to share with the companies a bunch of tools to monitor and measure the recruitment process from begin until the end of it. Of course if you have enough time to review the complete web site you can find a lot of interesting products and possibilities to exploit the whole capabilities of it in the moment to hire people for your company.

Of course this service have a cost, but if you analyze this value versus jobs time of your company to select the personal, or versus the cost to implement a complete solution to be used by the Human Resources Dept of your company, of course use the Monster system always be more cheaper than other solution.

A sad song in a Quito’s cold night

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Las night I was browsing the internet searching some info about music videos and some lyrics and suddenly I found this old music video from Dobbie Brothers called You belong to me, I think a lot of people never hear this song before for sure, but if you pay a little attention to the lyrics I’m really sure than you could find in your mind that special person who is the right one to be the starring of an imaginary music video where you´re the singer of it of course.

I let you the lyrics and of course a video from youtube.

Whyd you tell me this
While you look for my reaction
What do you need to know
Dont you know Ill always be the one
You dont have to prove to me youre beautiful to strangers
Ive got lovin eyes of my own

You belong to me
In this life
Anyone could tell
Any fool can see who you need
I know you all too well
You dont have to prove to me youre beautiful to strangers
Ive got lovin eyes and I can tell

You belong to me
Tell him you were foolin
You belong to me
You belong to me
Tell him hes a stranger
You belong to me

Amores Perros A.K.A. Love’s a Bitch

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

This is one of the best movies had I ever seen before, if you didn’t see it, I’ll recommend to you go to a Blockbuster and rent it, better if you can do that at Friday’s night, just because this is the kind of movies than needs time to be watched, time to be analyzed and time to understand.

The movie shows three different stories with nothing in common, but just an event joins all of them in the movie, a car crash, and when it happens just at the end of the movie you can understand many things of the movie.

“Three stories of life along the margins in Mexico City converge in this inventive thriller. Octavio is sharing an apartment with his brother, which leads to a serious problem when he falls in love with Susanna, his sister-in-law. Octavio and Susanna want to run away together, but Octavio has no money. He does, however, know a man who stages dog fights, and he volunteers his dog Cofi for the next round of fights. Cofi bravely rises to the occasion, but the dog’s success in the ring leads to a violent altercation. Elsewhere, Daniel, a successful publishing magnate, leaves his family to take up with a beautiful model, Valeria. Valeria, however, soon loses a leg in an auto accident, and as Daniel tends to her needs, her tiny pet dog gets trapped under the floorboards of their apartment. And finally, El Chivo is an elderly homeless man who is trying to contact his daughter, whom he hasn’t seen in years. Desperate for money, El Chivo is hired by a businessman to assassinate his partner; however, as he’s following his target, he’s interrupted by an auto accident, from which Octavio and his injured dog stagger in search of help.”

Here’s one of the video Clips from the Sound Track, Control Machete & Ely Guerra: De amores perros.

Don’t you (Forget about me!)

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Last night just before to go to sleep, I remember this song but I can’t remember the name of it, just the chorus comes to my head, once and again, so with it in my head I decide go to sleep, next day when I wake up, that song still in my mind and then I decide goes to search the internet hoping to find something about that song, then the almighty Google brings to me all the info than I need.

The name was the most obvious name than I could think, Don’t you (Forget about me!), the group was Simply Minds, and then I remember where I hear that song for first time, The breakfast club, the movie, so my next step was Wikipedia related topic “The Breakfast Club”:

“The Breakfast Club is a 1985 teen film widely considered as the definitive work in the genre. Written and directed by John Hughes, the storyline follows five teenagers (each representing a different clique in high school) as they spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realize that they are all deeper than their respective stereotypes. The film has become a cult classic and has had a tremendous influence on many coming of age films since then”

And here’s the original video from Simple Minds;

SIMPLE MINDS Don’t You (Forget About Me)

And this one from the movie: The breakfast club.

Don’t you forget about me

Finally, Don’t you (Forget about me!) Lycrics:

Won’t you come see about me
I’ll be alone, dancing — you know it will be me
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out
Love’s strange — so real in the dark
Think of the tender things
That we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, Baby

Don’t you forget about me
Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t
Don’t you forget about me
Will you stand above me
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Will you recognize me
Call my name
Gonna walk on fire
Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling
Down, down, down

Don’t you try and pretend
It’s my beginning
We’ll win in the end
I won’t harm you
Or touch your defences
Vanity, insecurity

Don’t you forget about me
I’ll be alone, dancing — you know it, Baby
Going to take you apart
I’ll build us back together a heart, Baby
Don’t you forget about me
Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t
Don’t you forget about me

As you walk on by
Will you call my name
As you walk on by
Will you call my name
When you walk away

Oh, will you walk away
Will walk away
Oh, call my name
Will you call my name

Who’s On First

I saw for first time this video so many years ago, in fact when I was a child, and of course I saw it in Spanish, as my mother natal language.

Just the last year a good friend of mine gives me the original audio from Abbott and Costello original TV Series in English and after of that I can stop to hear it once and again. So, last night I decide made a search in YouTube about “Who’s on first?” and here’s the result of that search, and if you wants to know a little more about “who’s on first?” you can read it in Wikipedia, or the transcription of the original text from this Abbott & Costello web site.

Enjoy it.

Silvia Saint

Via Carlos, I found this post about an interview to Silvia Saint (Sylvia Tomčalová) in Mexico few months ago. In fact Silvia Saint was one of the most famous actress in the category of the Adult Entertainment, actually from 2000 she’s retired. Here’s Silvia Saint bio.

At this interview Silvia Saint tell us something about hers actually life, things like she goes back to live in Europe after 2000, hers work at playboy magazine last year, and how she’s web site is going up and how it works, and how she actually just model for her’s own web site.

In the second part of the interview Silvia show us a side more personal, talking about his family and friends and what they think about hers career, and the third video shows a comic side of Silvia, in all the videos Silvia promote “Expo Sexo y Entretenimiento“.

MARVEL and their ideas.

Mary Jane Parker

Of course this kind of things just happens in a “comic world” or in a “world of comics” as you likes, but the new great idea of the MARVEL guys was celebrate the success of the Mary Jane Parker (Peter Parker’s wife) with a statuette at the cost of $ 124.99 USD.

But one of the best definitions of the statuette I was read in Boing-Boing:

The statuette features a busty Mary Jane leaning over a bucket and washing Spiderman’s costume. Don’t miss the thong, ripped jeans, pearl necklace, and bare feet

And thats the reason why the controversial “comiquette” gets a lot of dozens of responses from comicbloggers around the world, talking about sexist to the infamous Mary Jane Parker statuette.

via Boing Boing I receive this funny video showing a monster than looks like Cookie monster from Sesame Street, but it isn’t, this is an early version of the final and lovely Cookie Monster.

The real Computer Monster

Anyway the 4:09 minutes of video duration are really comic, enjoy it and remember “…primary purpose is to produce the greatest explosion known to man….
