Stone Temple Pilots 2008
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
One of the best bands I ever heard before in my life is Stone Temple Pilots; in fact I’m fan from the band when they launch them first CD called CORE and from there until the last CD I’m always hear their music, and a lot of people called STP as the best band in Alternative genre and I’m accord with them.
But, few years after they launch their first CD they decide dissolve the band and I lost all my opportunities to see them in a show. Until this 2008 year when they come get together again and start a new tour in the US.
The good news to me is that they offer two shows nearly to NY city during the same days I’m stay in the city, May 26 and May 31, so I try to go to one of those concerts if it’s possible, but if some of the readers from this blog goes to the concert an lives in NY, could let me a message so we can go together.
And if you’re a fan of the STP, probably this song bring to you some old memories.
For a complete info about the band and concerts please visit their official Stone Temple Pilots web site.
Rastafarianism is a way of life.

I found this very interesting interview to Johnnie Sapong, a hairstylist living and working in New York, and I found interesting because from my point of view It’s more commonly to find a Dreadlock Rasta at Quito, Ecuador walking through the city than find one of them in NY working as hairstylist.

For sure is just a theme of stereotypes made by myself at my head, but this kind of thinks helps me to understand the different people points of view around of the world.
As Johnnie says:
Rastafari is basically a way of life. It’s about getting back to Africa and understanding where you come from. I go back to Ghana normally once a year, but of late I’ve been having children, so it’s harder. I’ve got three boys now.
Rastafarianism is a way of life.
Chicane – Offshore

This is the kind of music than I like so much to hear at every time trance, dance and electronic music; in fact someone told me than a song brings to you special moments of your live, and the reason why you love this music is just because it brings to your mind that moments, something like a déjà vu.
I’m not sure about that theory, but if it’s true for sure it brings to me the 2006 year, for sure that was an special time of my live because I can share alot of things with some old friends and specially at my birthday in that year because one of them organize a party just for the tree of us at my home, and when I go home they receive me with this song.
Anyway, I found this video at Youtube anf of course I like the idea to share it with you.
Designing T-shirts
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
Sonic Shack is an online store with an interesting offer, custom t-shirts, t-shirts, personalized t-shirts, design your own t-shirts.

The main idea of the website is offer to you the tools and a place where you can design your own T-Shirt or apparel. First of all select the product where you want put your design, then select the model of it, at this point you can choose between select an art from their art gallery or upload your own image, in any case you can use their tools to flip, size or rotate the image, of course you can use two or more images at the same time, because when you work with one of them you’re working in a single layer, but another art or image can be separated in another layer, so you can get the chance to play with the figures until you get satisfied.
Finally you can save your artwork and order a print of it, here you can select from a bunch of options the size from S to 4XL, add some notes to your order and of course add to cart and go to the process of checkout where you can pay using your credit card, in a few words, create your own t-shirt at Sonic Shack is so simple an easy.

But today I found a very interesting thing made with JavaScript. Super Mario Bros with sound in a small piece of java code ready to play and bring a lot of memories from the past to you.
Of course this is just an experiment and not all the game is in it just a level to play and several key things are missing, so if you want to play it please click here, and if you want to read how they do that, visit nihilogic blog’s.

If you have a website and try to sell your products through it, for sure, you must to think in some shopping cart options that are the reason why, as a web designer, I always search new software options every day to work with it in my own projects or if it’s the case to be promoted to my clients.
Today, a good friend of mine told me check this out and I can find a complete software solution ready to be integrated in your website it doesn`t care how complex looks your website ashop commerce just fit in every kind of website, easy to maintain, update and for sure really nice to work with it if your seeking a ecommerce software, fully customizable and in the admin control panel a lot of options really nice to be used as for example the Support Ticketing.
So if you need a shopping cart software, let me say than ashop commerce is one of the most completes, ready to be unpacked and used.
Fashion Schools
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
Few days ago I was searching some info about fashion schools in California because a good friend of mine told me about his experience with some employees at hers studio design.
So I start the search using a well know search engine and the string “fashion school in california” one of the results was that web site than looks as a web directory and of course I believe in them until I makes click in one of the links of the universities they promoted.
“Unfortunately, that school is not available at the moment. Let us recommend one of these other great schools”
Of course it could be happened in every single web site of the world and I tray with other links in the same page, some of them appears and some no.
I try making another search but at this time I use the string “fashion schools in los angeles” at this time the same schools appears to me and the same thing happens, some links work and other no.
At the end of my search I found some interesting things at the web site but the bad thing is at the end of the day I have no enough results to share with my friend who asked me about Fashion Schools.
Patrick Swayze Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
Today I was reading in some websites the story about the Patrick Swayze pancreatic cancer and how he’s fighting against it. The cancer was diagnosed few months ago, but until today it was maintained as a secret by the actor and his family.
But some malicious rumors say’s than Swayze just had 5 weeks to life, and that’s the reason why his representative Annett Wolf today claim in a statement than Swayze is continue with his normal life working day by day and of course taking his treatment in regular way. In fact Swayze’s doctor said the reports of the actor’s imminent death are unfounded.
“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic,” Swayze’s physician, George Fisher, said in a statement.
So, I’m not fan of Patrick Swayze but I think in one of his best movies was Point break where he works with Keanu Reeves.
Rarindra Prakarsa a photographer and photoshop artist
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
Via Tiny Bellows from Aesthetic Emotions and Photography blog, I found this very interesting portfolio of a photographer and Photoshop artist called Rarindra Prakarsa who is working out of Indonesia and shows us a great and rich work at Photo.net.

In fact as I can see every single image have the potential to pickup you to an imaginary world where all the elements have an special importance, rays of light, contrast, bright and colorfull nature are the components of this stories translated into photographs, besides Randira also works in B/W and I thinks this is the kind of pics with a big emotional load because just the light is the element who decides which part of the story shows to the public and of course which part no.
Fine art storage
Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco
Last night I found an interesting service for art galleries, Fine Art Storage.

In fact I never heard before about this kind of service but it looks very interesting, the idea is help to the artist, owners and of course art galleries to store their fine arts and help in the transport form place to place if it’s the case, and of course many others services in relation with the fine arts care.
The mainly reason for this service is just about many people around the world doesn’t know how they take care about their fine arts, some newly collectors just bought it or companies invest in fine arts thinking in the future but they don´t have any idea how take care about their investments, but as the people of Mind’s Eye say in their website:
Caring for your valuables is more than our passion. It’s a science.
And that’s the reason why I found interesting this web site, people who takes seriously the labor to care fine arts in several ways.
So if you’re planning to buy some fine arts, or are a fine arts collector, for sure you maybe need contact with professionals in this kind of services.
