Super Mario Bros

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

For sure a lot of you like me play during your first years with the Super Nintendo console in fact in some place in my parent’s house I’ll have my old console.

Super Mario Bros on javascript

But today I found a very interesting thing made with JavaScript. Super Mario Bros with sound in a small piece of java code ready to play and bring a lot of memories from the past to you.

Of course this is just an experiment and not all the game is in it just a level to play and several key things are missing, so if you want to play it please click here, and if you want to read how they do that, visit nihilogic blog’s.

Best Web Hosting.

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Few weeks ago I renewed the web hosting plan for my weblog with my actually seller, and in fact I have no problems with it, but today I was browsing the internet and someone tells me about this site where kaushal Sheth write about best web hosting compannies and for sure I decide to take a look of it.

Kaushal, write about three different hosting companies offering a reasonable service at a reasonable cost, the firs of them is HostMonster and in fact the price offered by them is very interesting $ 5,95 USD monthly for a Professional web hosting as they call them service plan, the second one is HostGator at the cost of  $ 4,95 USD Monthly they offering a really nice service, and it was a shame but when I try to go to the third one, I can’t get into, for sure some problem with my internet connection,  but I guess it was a really nice offer to.

So if you want a webhosting service plan to your site you can go to the kaushal Sheth and check out the list maybe it growing up or if you have the knowledge of another webhosting company who offers best prices  for sure you can share the info in the kaushal Sheth weblog.

Sexiest geeks a new trend in bloggers.

iJustine

Few months ago I found the Tasty Blog Snack, in fact when I read the first post of iJustine (Justine Ezarik) I´m not sure about what she does at work, later I learn than she is a freelance graphic/web designer & video editor, after of know that time to time I back to read hers blog watch videos or photos at flickr or read hers twitts at twitter.com and always I found something interesting to back once and again.

Mostly Lisa

Today I found Mostly Lisa, the Lisa Bettany blog a photographer and video music producer located at Vancouver, Canada. In fact is my first time at hers blog so I can’t say nothing about hers post, but I can say she looks so cute and gorgeous and that’s the mainly reason to write this post.

The thing is, we are watching a new trend in female bloggers?, girls who love work with Mac, talks about web2.0, uses twitter, lastfm, facebook, and flickr without ask their boyfriends nothing about that? And of course always looks so cute as a model? I like that idea and I´m sure that thousands of men think in the same way like me, a sexiest girl is one who use a Mac as a work tool, and loves the internet but no uses hi5.

Rarindra Prakarsa a photographer and photoshop artist

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Via Tiny Bellows from Aesthetic Emotions and Photography blog, I found this very interesting portfolio of a photographer and Photoshop artist called Rarindra Prakarsa who is working out of Indonesia and shows us a great and rich work at Photo.net.

Rarindra Prakarsa a photographer and photoshop artist

In fact as I can see every single image have the potential to pickup you to an imaginary world where all the elements have an special importance, rays of light, contrast, bright and colorfull nature are the components of this stories translated into photographs, besides Randira also works in B/W and I thinks this is the kind of pics with a big emotional load because just the light is the element who decides which part of the story shows to the public and of course which part no.

Monster for employers.

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Few days ago, a good friend of mine during a chat session he lets me know about a service to hire the right people for his business. In fact few months ago I found the same service but in the other side, when I was searching job in Spain, but I don’t know about the side of Monster to hire people, I’m think now it’s obvious, so Monster close the circle between the company and the employee using a single application.

Anyway, the story of my friend is about a “Cafe Lounge” in Washington D.C., USA where he is the owner and needs some help to attend the place, that’s the reason why he decide to use Monster system “help wanted“. In fact Jeovanny my friend and one of the owners of the “Cafe Lounge” told me than Monster brings to te user a complete and well done application to offer the best opportunities in the market according with the search criteria, in Jeovanny’s case, he was searching was Chef Assistant and he told me After search, I can found almost 50 candidates to that job position.

I’m not sure about if Jeovany’s made contact or not with one of the candidates to the job position, but today I was browsing the web site and found very interesting things like this one “Why Recruit with Monster”, and one of the things than I liked about the Monster’s web site is the capability to share with the companies a bunch of tools to monitor and measure the recruitment process from begin until the end of it. Of course if you have enough time to review the complete web site you can find a lot of interesting products and possibilities to exploit the whole capabilities of it in the moment to hire people for your company.

Of course this service have a cost, but if you analyze this value versus jobs time of your company to select the personal, or versus the cost to implement a complete solution to be used by the Human Resources Dept of your company, of course use the Monster system always be more cheaper than other solution.

I’m the number one!

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Carlos Jumbo, a good friend of mine made a list of the twitters and the number of followers who has everyone on their respective contact list.

And my name appears in the first position with 287 followers at 26 December in the night, so it makes me the Ecuadorian twitter with more followers. The second place is occupied by Calu with 225 and in the third place AlmaPirata, of course it’s necessary to say, this is not a popularity list or something like that, because so much of the current twitter follower are just occasional readers of you, or your blog if you have one. So it number in any way represent the authority or importance of you or your blog, it is just a number of people who with relative frequency read something about you.

So, if you wish read the complete list please visit Carlos Jumbo’s Blog and if you want to follow me in twitter visit me there.

Blog day 2007 third post of the day

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Today the whole world celebrates the Blog day, and as part of this celebration if you have a blog, you will post something about 5 new or different blogs than yours.

Heida Biddle - Tales of Seven: The first time than I see Heida’s blog, one of the things than I liked was hers Photo gallery because it shows the places where Hedia was in the past in hers travels, and of course that’s the reason why Heidas today is invited at my Blog, a traveller woman.

And now, as part of my own version of BlogDay I made some questions to my invited bloggers so, this was the questions.

Complete name
Heida Biddle

Where do you live - work - study actually?
San Francisco

What was the first blog you visited? Do you remember a name/author?
I was first introduced to blogging by Graham Glass who has a blog at grahamglass.blogs.com

Do you have a list of favorite blogs to read frequently? can you share some of them with us?
I do. I read quite a number of blogs but these are examples of some types I really like.

I saw a lot of your pictures on Heidas.com, are you planning your next trip?
My most immediate next trip is closer to home. I’ll be going to Burning Man in Nevada. Internationally, I have hopes to make a trip to Brazil and explore the Amazon next!

What kind of camera you use?
Canon Rebel XT Digital with a Tamron lens. More information is at http://heidas.typepad.com/heidas/2006/07/ive_been_asked_.html    if you’re interested

What was the most great place you can visit in the past?
My hardest and yet favorite trip was one to Morocco. It’s a tough place for women to travel alone, but it also has some of the most incredible scenery and amazing, ancient towns. And the Sahara is magic.

if a beginer traveller ask to you where I can start my own trip around the world, what do you answer him / her?
Where you start depends entirely on what kind of travel you like. I tend to like places that are as different as possible from what I see in everyday life. So I seek out places where I get exposure to very different cultures (like Morocco, Nepal, Botswana, Jordan), and try to stay somewhat off the beaten track for a more genuine experience.

I like this pic from your photo gallery, do you like xtreme sports?
I love trying new things and trying out new sports is a part of that. I did rock climbing for about 7 years.

In just one word, from your point of view why do people blog? What is the main reason?
wow - one word is tough! I’ll say to “share”

Blog Day 2007

Today the whole world celebrates the Blog day, and as part of this celebration if you have a blog, you will post something about 5 new or different blogs than yours.

Ashish’s Programming Journal: This is the kind of technical blogs I liked to read, in fact I meet his blog when I found in somewhere of the net a link to his post Cell Phone Controlled Door Latch, then I start to review all the blog and finally his blog is part of this blog day.

And now, as part of my own version of BlogDay I made some questions to my invited bloggers so, this day I post that questions to Ashish.

“Your complete name”
- Ashish Raj Derhgawen

“Where do you actually, live / work / study”
- New Delhi, India

“When was the first time you visit a Blog, and if do you remember, who was the first blogger you know / read?”
- I remember the first time heard the word “blog”..but I can’t remember the first time I visited one.

“When was your first time using internet? and where? “
- In 1994 - Chicago, Illinois

“Your classmates or coworkers know about your Blog? they visit it? the can understand it?”
- Few of my classmates, (or perhaps only one classmate), actually visits my blog.

“If you don’t have a Blog, maybe you can write a Diary?”
- No way. :) I can’t write about every single thing which happens in my life on a diary. To be honest, I didn’t even want to start a blog..but some people convinced me that its not that bad..and that having a blog doesn’t mean you have to write about every single thing which happens in your life. :)

“Do you see your self writing in your blog the next 5, 10 or 15 years? how old are you? “
- Yes. I’m 19.

“In just one word, from your point of view, what’s the main reason from a Blogger to write in a blog?”
- Expression

“If a newer blogger ask to you, How can I start my own blog, what do you answer he /she?”
- Visit www.blogger.com

Blog day 2007 firts post of the day

Blog Day 2007

Today the whole world celebrates the Blog day, and as part of this celebration if you have a blog, you will post something about 5 new or different blogs than yours, so here’s my first one new blogger.

SexySEO completes pic

SexySeo, isn’t a full time blogger I guess she must have other things to do as SEO, but if you read hers blog, you could fine a good work on posts like MyBlogLog, and that’s the reason why I recommend it, good work!.

And now, as part of my own version of BlogDay I made some questions to my invited bloggers so, this day I post that questions too.

What was the first blog you visited? Do you remeber a name/author?
Don’t remember :-( - it was a long-long time ago. Probably it was the first blog ever to appear on the net :-)

Do you have a list of favorite blogs to read frequently?
No, I don’t - I’m always looking for something new :)

How you can combine you profession as SEO with the Blogger life? Is it easy? Does it not harm?
Struggling :-) but not so much. It would have been harder to combine some other occupations (like brain surgeon or a CIA agent) with blogging :-)

Do you have an unofficial/personal/private blog where you write about your personal life?
Yes, but it’s <i>very private</i> :) My <strong>elite club</strong> of very-very close friends.

Is it easier or harder to be a blogger than SEO?
To be a blogger is much harder :) You have to be pretty cool to attract people to read what you acctually write - Search Engines aren’t people they read anything ;) Besides blogging means typing a lot - a hard thing to do with my fingernails.

In just one word, from your point of view why do people blog? What is the main reason?
“Money make the world go round” ;) Joke with a pinch of truth. Some are clearly suffering from loghorrea or attention deficit disorder (orboth). But seriously I think there are as many combinations as there are bloggers on the net.

If a beginner blogger asks you “How do I start my own blog” what do you answer to him /her?
In true SEO style I’ll probably shout “Go and post this question to your blog!!!”
