During this day I was browsing some websites where I can get information about the new 2008 Smart Fortwo, and just in one place I can found really interesting information about the car.

KITT for sale! …. Again?

Do you remember the famous TV series Knight Rider?

Yes for sure the old one where Michael Knight (David Hasslehoff) drove a Trans Am called KITT (Knight Industry Two Thousand), ok, today via boing boing I read than a company called Kassabian Motors in Dublin, California puts on sale KITT for the amount of $149,995 USD in fact apparently this is one of the used in the TV series.

But in the same Boing Boing two years ago an article talks about the sale of KITT in an auction on eBay. Is the same KITT? In fact is well known than the TV series use not just one car for the show and as say the Sydney Morning herald:

“It is one of four documented “camera cars” used for close-up shots and scenes where David Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight in the series, was behind the wheel.”

But as says in the same article:

“Perhaps most important, the red scanner light on the nose glows and makes a humming noise.”

Well done KITT.

UPDATE: if you can’t pay the amount of $ 149.995 USD for KITT, maybe it feels better.
