I found this very interesting interview to Johnnie Sapong, a hairstylist living and working in New York, and I found interesting because from my point of view It’s more commonly to find a Dreadlock Rasta at Quito, Ecuador walking through the city than find one of them in NY working as hairstylist.

For sure is just a theme of stereotypes made by myself at my head, but this kind of thinks helps me to understand the different people points of view around of the world.

As Johnnie says:
Rastafari is basically a way of life. It’s about getting back to Africa and understanding where you come from. I go back to Ghana normally once a year, but of late I’ve been having children, so it’s harder. I’ve got three boys now.

Ok, this is the kind of unbelievable stories than you can’t accept as real until you read complete from begin to end.

The thing is, one day Eglantina Zingg, –for sure you don’t remember her until I told you than she appears few years ago in some pics making topless with Paris Hilton, now, do you remember?—and hers friend Elisa Estrada, in fact she’s Ecuadorian like me but I ask some people if someday someone heard something about her, but no one knows her.

Anyway, no one cares if one or both of them are famous or not, I just try to understand what they were thinking when assists to the interview with Amy Larocca, from New York Magazine, if you don’t believe me, please read the article, specially the first answer:

A good friend of mine told me last night his idea about to study a new career in their life, pharmacy technician, in fact I’ll never hear that career before, so I ask to him, about that, and my friend lets me a good introduction to the career, but I’m always try to search by myself an unofficial information about the things than I like, so I decide to start my own search about the pharmacy tech.

First of all, I found this website where you can get very interesting information about the job description, what can you do and what can’t you do. The work environment and of course the education and training requirements, all that info looks very nice but the really important thing to know in all the careers, is to know the salary, at this case pharmacy technician salary.

How much you can earn in the year was my first question, and in fact it looks as a very well pay career, because you can get an income of $12,32.oo USD by hour if you can get an employment in General medical and surgical hospitals, of course the salary depends of the hospital but this looks to me as an average and it doesn’t looks bad.

But if you prefer to work in a place a little more quite as an department store, you can earn the $9.69 an hour, and it doesn’t looks bad either, so if you think in study this career for sure you can get a very well future in front of you.

I have a question for the humankind. How many people in the whole world like to spend their money in online casinos?

Ok that’s is an rhetoric question, so I don’t wait for a response, but in many ways I thinks in thousands or millions of people around de world, who likes the idea of spend their money using some of the online casinos software, playing poker, blackjack or comuterized slot machines.

As I wrote before in some post, I’m not the kind of man who likes the online games or playing in some magic casino who gives me the fortune and money just making some clicks, but for sure out there daily a lot of people hopes win some extra dollars just playing games as Realm of Riches where the promisesof this game is makes to you a richest man in the easiest way, just playing cards.

One of the lessons learned in my younger days was gibed to me by my father, when he says “everything in the world requires strong, sacrifice and of course passion, if you put it in a single thing you do, for sure it becomes in real” but if I thing in that lesson applied to the game, honestly  I can’t.

Patrick Swayze Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer

Today I was reading in some websites the story about the Patrick Swayze pancreatic cancer and how he’s fighting against it. The cancer was diagnosed few months ago, but until today it was maintained as a secret by the actor and his family.

But some malicious rumors say’s than Swayze just had 5 weeks to life, and that’s the reason why his representative Annett Wolf today claim in a statement than Swayze is continue with his normal life working day by day and of course taking his treatment in regular way. In fact Swayze’s doctor said the reports of the actor’s imminent death are unfounded.

“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic,” Swayze’s physician, George Fisher, said in a statement.

So, I’m not fan of Patrick Swayze but I think in one of his best movies was Point break where he works with Keanu Reeves.

Searching for roses in USA

The valentine’s day is coming and of course one of the best gifts to express love, friendship or respect to the others is a Rose or an arrangement of roses to be shared with them, but the main question is where to find it, especially if you need to send it to a place where you don’t live?

Well, in Quito, Ecuador I know some places where you can buy it, but at this time I need to send some roses arrangements to my friends, clients living and working in USA, so I decided use my unconditional good friend, Google.com, to search a nice website where I can bought them, and one of the best places where I can found roses was this one 1800flowers.com.

Last night just before to go to sleep, I remember this song but I can’t remember the name of it, just the chorus comes to my head, once and again, so with it in my head I decide go to sleep, next day when I wake up, that song still in my mind and then I decide goes to search the internet hoping to find something about that song, then the almighty Google brings to me all the info than I need.

The name was the most obvious name than I could think, Don’t you (Forget about me!), the group was Simply Minds, and then I remember where I hear that song for first time, The breakfast club, the movie, so my next step was Wikipedia related topic “The Breakfast Club”:

One of these 80’s flashbacks!

Today during the lunch I can hear an old, very old song from Alpaville, do you remember those guys with that 80’s haircuts? ok not so bad, in fact so much of their styles is in use at this time.

But the important fact of this post is the flashback. I can remember myself at the age of 15 or something like that, actually I’m really sure about that was the best part of my life, no problems, not jobs, no money and enough time to do all the kind of things than today I can’t. But wait a minute, I say NO money? …. mmm … mmm …. ok, actually this is the best Time of my life, I have a work, real work, I have problems, real problems in fact this could be a boring life if I don’t have it, and Money, not in the amount as I like, but I have enough money to buy my gadgets and live with no more than the necessary problems.

Doing the kind of things than I don´t like to do.

Many years ago I was an enthusiast about the multimedia development and that was the reason why I work many times developing multimedia projects for many clients and some other personal projects. In fact today I appreciate some good works made in DVD or CD when I see it, and in a personal way one of things than I like to use eventually is Adobe Director or Adobe Flash, just as a hobby.

But, during this weekend I was working in a multimedia project for a client, a very difficult client, and definitely I don´t like anymore make multimedia, the project was based in two table games for a child’s, from 5 to 9 years old, and in fact it was done, but my difficult client wants more and more changes, and maybe this is the reason why I don´t like to do this anymore.

Anyway, I´m really sure about the problem is not the multimedia by self of course, the main problem is my client, and after of this project I decide take a long time before to take a new one.
