One of those interesting things

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

One of the interesting things about the internet is how you can help to the people to find what they are looking for just after a few clicks.
The thing is, someday few weeks ago I wrote about a service called “Go Airlink Shuttle” and in my post I just recommend to the people use this service specially if you’re moving from one of the NY airports to somewhere else, in fact I like the idea of this service and of course the next time when I back to NY for sure I´ll use it.

But the very interesting thins comes when someone uses the service and wrote to my email to let a thanks note, in the specific part of it says:

XXX, our driver is a very nice man, who helps us in all the things with our package, and during the time we pass with him in the ban, he talks about a lot of interesting things about NY, we liked so much the transportation time from the LaGuardia Airport to the hotel in Manhattan.

The email told a lot of things more about the travel of this people to NY, but I´ll thing this was the most interesting part of it to be published here at my blog.

So if you’re planning to go to LaGuardia Airport in NY and need affordable, reliable and safe ground transportation services throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs, maybe you need to use Laguardia Airport Shuttle.

Stone Temple Pilots 2008

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

One of the best bands I ever heard before in my life is Stone Temple Pilots; in fact I’m fan from the band when they launch them first CD called CORE and from there until the last CD I’m always hear their music, and a lot of people called STP as the best band in Alternative genre and I’m accord with them.

But, few years after they launch their first CD they decide dissolve the band and I lost all my opportunities to see them in a show. Until this 2008 year when they come get together again and start a new tour in the US.

The good news to me is that they offer two shows nearly to NY city during the same days I’m stay in the city, May 26 and May 31, so I try to go to one of those concerts if it’s possible, but if some of the readers from this blog goes to the concert an lives in NY, could let me a message so we can go together.

And if you’re a fan of the STP, probably this song bring to you some old memories.

For a complete info about the band and concerts please visit their official Stone Temple Pilots web site.

Rastafarianism is a way of life.

I found this very interesting interview to Johnnie Sapong, a hairstylist living and working in New York, and I found interesting because from my point of view It’s more commonly to find a Dreadlock Rasta at Quito, Ecuador walking through the city than find one of them in NY working as hairstylist.

Johnnie Sapong, Hairstylist

For sure is just a theme of stereotypes made by myself at my head, but this kind of thinks helps me to understand the different people points of view around of the world.

As Johnnie says:
Rastafari is basically a way of life. It’s about getting back to Africa and understanding where you come from. I go back to Ghana normally once a year, but of late I’ve been having children, so it’s harder. I’ve got three boys now.

Rastafarianism is a way of life.

Taking care of your skin face

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

MuradOne of the parts of our body most exposed to the daily contamination is our skin face, that’s the reason why a lot of people around the whole world spend big amounts of money taking care of that. Treatments anti age and creams are just a little part of the quantity of products offered all the time to protect us, but you must to know than a lot of them didn`t help you in any way, most of them are products made just to cheat you.

That’s the reason why, when someone at my office told me about this web site where you can purchase this kind of products I don`t believe, in fact I was thinking than this products are the kind of it than just want put their hand in your pocket and take off some money from it.

But when I visit their website and read some info about Murad, I must be recognize than I’m wrong, first of all just because the product has formulated with various professional product lines to specifically treat a number of skin concerns and most of them are natural products, and that of course is one of the most important things to value in the moment to take a decision if purchase it or not.

Other important thing is than for a limited time receives 15% Off Murad + a FREE Full Size Cleanser valued at $44. In fact that sounds goods to me but it´s for free delivery within Australia.

But if you haven’t any idea of what kind of service offers to you Lifelock.com. for sure the best way to do it is reading their blog. In there you can find a lot of information about the service and new products like these ones:

Eglantina Zingg and Elisa Estrada, WFT

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

Ok, this is the kind of unbelievable stories than you can’t accept as real until you read complete from begin to end.

Eglantina Zingg and Elisa Estrada, WFT

The thing is, one day Eglantina Zingg, –for sure you don’t remember her until I told you than she appears few years ago in some pics making topless with Paris Hilton, now, do you remember?—and hers friend Elisa Estrada, in fact she’s Ecuadorian like me but I ask some people if someday someone heard something about her, but no one knows her.

Anyway, no one cares if one or both of them are famous or not, I just try to understand what they were thinking when assists to the interview with Amy Larocca, from New York Magazine, if you don’t believe me, please read the article, specially the first answer:

What do you guys do?ELISA: Right now I am living life. Because I can. I’m living, and I’m enjoying. I collect art, I collect fashion. I can’t lie to you, I love it. At some point you follow a type of life with a schedule, and I kind of said, “You know what? I’m going to take a hike for a while.”

WTF, I have not words, is just the kind of replies than you receive from a teenager or from someone who have enough money to do nothing, just live, in fact there’s not the problem, the really shame of hers answers comes when you read all the comments about this article, really shame.

Protecting your credit

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

I was reading at lifelock review an interesting post about credit protection called “life Lock credit protection”.

In this post the people of life lock share an important data about the number of lost transaction during the last six years “65 billion electronic records have been lost in the last six years”, that’s a really big number of transactions lost in the meantime, but the worst part of it, is than this kind of things didn’t happened because a hacker attacks any company to obtain that info, in fact a common human errors happened inside of security specialized companies lik these examples:

In 2005 CardSystems Solutions exposed 40 million Visa, MasterCard and American Express debit and credit card accounts.

In 2006, TJX, owner of TJ Maxx, Marshalls and several other retail stores, lost 94 million records. And if you have been, or currently are in the US military, you may be among the 30 million people whose data was lost.

Just two month ago, Long Island University mailed out 30,000 tax statements with students’ names, addresses and Social Security numbers visible through the envelope window.

That is the kind of things than makes me thinks in get the protection of lifelock, if you want get a promo code or compare this service with other ones, you can do that at value of life lock.

How much is the cost of LifeLock

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

This is a question made from a workmate who reads here a post about lifelock, and of course I decide start to learn more about the cost of the service. My first impression about it was. If the people of Lifelock are ready to help you in the work of rebuild your identity with $ 1’000.000,oo USD if you’re victim of identity thief, for sure they must higher costs for the service.

But, I was totally wrong in my impression, in fact the cost is really low, the regular price is $ 120,oo USD for a year of protection, but if you check this lifelock reviews you can get a discount coupon or promotion code than brings the cost of LifeLock down to $99 a year, including your kids for free and one moth extra if you take the 30 days free.

So, if you use your credit card online frequently, have a regular trips and eventually uses shared computers at office or uses the computers from your hotel, maybe it`s time to take care about your identity, for sure you can obtain more info about the service in their blog, lifelock review.

Opening a saving account

Posted by Juan Fernando Pacheco

During last month I was thinking in the idea of opening a savings account in some USA bank, but  until today I can’t find the right one to my needs.

So, during this day I receive a comment from a good friend of mine who talks about WaMu, and their Savings Account, in fact I was browsing their website and after watch some other page I can find some interesting things about their online savings, benefits and features:

  • Free Online Banking.
  • Free electronic statements.
  • No monthly service charge when you open Online Savings account with WaMu Free Checking.
  • Easy access to funds by ATM.
  • And last but no at least, one of these features than looks very interesting. If you maintain a minimum balance of $300.00 USD each day of the monthly statement cycle, you can avoid the monthly service charge amount of $4.00, really nice!

So, if you needs a savings account and you work / live in the US, probably can access to this kind of services offered by WaMu, especially if you need a 100% online bank account, and doesn’t have enough time to go to the bank office or something like that.
